This immersive journey is designed for those seeking an authentic Moroccan experience, where the breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage combine to create lasting memories, visiting Ait Ben Haddou and Ouzarzazate, known as the gateway to the Sahara, along the way. Then there will be a camel ride into the Zagora desert.
Overview
DAY 1
- Early start leaving Marrakech at 07:00.
- You will cross the High Atlas Mountains by way of Tizi-n-Tichka (alt 2260 m) and enjoy the panoramic views and many Berber villages along the way.
- There will be a stop at Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, which has been declared a world heritage site and has been the setting for many famous movies, for example, Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, Romancing the Stone. Next stop is Ouarzazate city with opportunity to visit Kasbah of Taourirt with time for lunch
- The road then goes through the Draa Valley and Oasis of Palms.
- You will arrive at Zagora around 17:30 and take a 1.5 hour camel ride. This will be a gentle ride across small sand dunes, reaching a Berber tent in the Sahara for a night in the desert.
- Dinner will be provided in the tented camp and you will sleep in tents under the stars
DAY 2
- You will be able to get up before dawn and watch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes and enjoy breakfast before taking a camel ride back to the vehicle for the journey back to Marrakech.
- There will be stops along the way on your journey to Marrakech.
- After sunrise and breakfast, travel back to Marrakech arriving at c.18.30

Simple tours providing transport and overnight stay in Sahara
on half-board basis
You will be participating in a Group Tour, presenting an excellent opportunity to explore various attractions while potentially forming new acquaintances.
- Transportation will be arranged for your convenience, with collection either from your hotel or Riad in central Marrakech, or from Jemma El Fna Square.
- If your Riad is not accessible for vehicle pick up, a meeting point will be set up a short walk away.
- You'll receive final pick up details via your WhatsApp the day before the trip.
- Upon your return to Marrakech, you will be dropped off either near your hotel, Riad or at Jemma El Fna Square.
- Please note that this service exclusively offers transportation, unless otherwise specified in the activity details. Meals, beverages, and additional expenses are not included in the package.
- Cancellation available up to 48 hours the day before the tour is to commence. So if you book for Thursday you can cancel anytime BEFORE 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday
